Walter Segal - community architect

A new ambition: to build my own Walter Segal hedgehog house. They're called hedgehog houses because they're designed in a way that starts by raising a series of panels which looks like a sort of spiky/tumpty hedgehog. They're designed to be easily self-built. I just love them.
So beautiful.
The perfect space inside: all woody, with big windows and re-configurable rooms.
Yes, we will build one of these.

    1. Oh that sounds nice, we're still a bit chilly here. I was going to say you should come join our Segal commune! but Finland's probably a bit too nice to leave

  2. Hi Jo - you remember Meg, the photographer who worked with me on the boats story you helped with? Well guess what house she's just moved into. She calls it The Shed and it's super cool - and weirdly it has the narrowest doorways in any house I've ever seen. The surveyor's report suggested "they might become annoying"! x
